We loved this place! They serve plenty of British classics but you must try the Peruvian food! I ordered the fish, it was so fresh that the chef went to the market to buy the fish after I’d ordered and cooked it there and then. You can tell as the flavours are fantastic. Great portion sizes, lovely staff too. I can’t recommend enough

The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. It’s a cosy spot with a relaxed atmosphere, perfect for enjoying proper Latin food in the city centre. Great value too for the quality you get.
Highly recommend Latin Kitchen if you want delicious, authentic food and warm service. I’ll definitely be coming back!- Food

Walking passed the area doesn’t seem eye-catching like other typical restaurants, what caught me and my partners eye was the plantains poster on the outside of the odeon market. It’s typically I would say your hidden gem food places to eat. From stumbling upon that sign we both had a feeling this might be something good.
Yes, the restaurant appearances doesn’t have that feel like other typical high street restaurants or food chain restaurants have. But what it does have is comfort, friendliness, great food not only fresh food.
The menu does have English food that’s catered to their current lovely customers, but amongst it they have their great Latin cuisine and beverage that they make in house. The price isn’t that expensive we paid for everything around £21 including a cappuccino and everything you seen in the photos. I have to say it’s a bargain for great food.
Must try the Chicha Morada drink honestly light and refreshing, definitely will be seeing me back here for that drink.
Freddie who was there was so friendly and great to talk to not only very knowledgeable about the history of the cuisine as he’s from there but it brings nostalgia to the whole place. He’s honestly a really great person who checks in on all his customers, who wouldn’t want to come here.- Wait time

- Large vegetarian selection, Clearly labeled vegetarian dishes
- Wheelchair accessibility
- It’s all flat surface around the restaurant but there’s a down stairs to the toilets which I’m not sure on how people would get around it.

Despite the unconventional look, it was some of the best food I’ve eaten. For such an excellent price as well, I do not think it’s possible to find a better value meal that tastes as well as this in the UK. The hosts were incredibly friendly and recommended their favourite dishes which we had to go for. The Pollo a la Blancha was amazing!

The title of hidden gem is thrown around far too often, but Latin Kitchen is truly deserving of this title. The food was exceptional and service the friendliest I’ve ever received, and all for an extremely reasonable price. Could not recommend this place any more.

The music gave the whole place such a good vibe it made the atmosphere feel like a proper celebration. And the food? Incredible. Fresh, full of flavour, and honestly so affordable for the quality. You can tell it’s made with love.
We’ll definitely be back. Great food, great people, great energy. A hidden gem for families, foodies, and even your four-legged friends!- Wait time

- Kid-Friendliness: Such a great spot for kids the staff were so patient and kind, and the atmosphere was relaxed enough that we didn’t feel like we had to keep them super quiet or still. The music kept them entertained, and the portions were perfect for little tummies. Family-friendly through and through.

I visited for my birthday, table of 8. We all had a wonderful time. Probably the friendliest restaurant in Leicester. We were made to feel very welcome almost like family. Freddie the owner is full of life, passion and verve which is reflected in his food. It’s a unique experience and I’d highly recommend. In the words of Arnold Schwarzenegger: We will be back!

A gem! I think this is the most delicious, fresh, and authentic real food you’ll find anywhere in Leicester. The wonderful flavours of Latin America brought to you directly from Peru, with the freshest ingredients sourced from the adjacent market. The chef, Freddy, is an exceptionally friendly, lively host, and who makes it feel like you are a guest in his home, happy to accommodate and prepare things especially for you. The atmosphere is fun, simple, modest, and home style, the service is great. The prices are also unbeatable.
If you are looking for a quick bite or a posh dining experience, this might not be for you, but if you are looking a truly authentic Latin American dining experience with real, delicious food, made with pride, you can’t do better than this. I wish I had learned of it sooner. My new favourite!- Service

Ridiculously good food served by joyful people with a perfect atmosphere and a great kitschy soundtrack. I watched my fish get brought straight in from the market, ludicrously fresh.

"Stumbled upon this quirky little gem and had an unforgettable experience! The atmosphere is cozy and a bit eccentric, with each chair being different and the decor giving it a unique charm. We were greeted warmly by the owner, who went out of his way to accommodate us by arranging tables. Although some items were missing from the menu, he assured us everything available was fresh.
We ordered a bottle of wine and got mismatched glasses, lol. The highlight was when the owner, noticing our interest in fish, ran out to the local market to get fresh fish just for us!
The entire dining experience was filled with laughter and good conversations. When the food finally arrived, it was absolutely delicious – every dish bursting with flavor. Despite the initial quirks, the owner’s enthusiasm and the quality of the food won us over. We’ll definitely be back!"- Service

Fantastic atmosphere and great food. It feels like a real Latin American cantina, with mismatched chairs and tables, vibrant salsa music, delicious home-cooked meals, and a friendly atmosphere. The only thing missing there is aguardiente :)
